Points to consider when reviewing a research paper

In your review for research papers and scientific articles submitted to conferences or journals, it would be very helpful and useful to consider providing detailed answers for the following questions.

1. Does the paper represent a technical contribution and, if so, what?

2. Is the paper well written? If not, how can it be improved?

3. Is the paper appropriately organized? If not, how should it be reorganized?

4. Can the paper be shortened without diminishing the quality of the paper or its results? If so, how?

5. Is it necessary that the paper be expanded? If so, where and how?

6. If the paper is not suitable in its current form, can it be modified to make it so? How?

7. Does the abstract give a clear summary of the results of the paper?

In order to safeguard the security of confidential and potentially patentable information, we cannot accept information supplied in the form of weblinks. If these are provided, they will not be visited. Please state 'not applicable' if you don't have any content to put in this field. Problem Describe the problem that the invention solves or the situation that the invention improves. Mainly concentrate on the technical aspects of the problem or the situation. Please state 'not applicable' if you don't have any content to put in this field. Prior Art Describe how the problem was solved earlier or the current state of technology that is causing the pro...

Training Course on OFDM with subcarrier power modulation (OFDM-SPM): The modulation scheme of future wireless communication systems

Description of the OFDM with subcarrier power modulation (OFDM-SPM) Course  Welcome to the course of OFDM-SPM (orthogonal frequency division multiplexing with subcarrier power modulation), a novel OFDM modulation technique for future wireless communication systems. In this course, you will be introduced to OFDM-SPM, and guided through its inner workings by your instructor Abdulwahab Hajar, co-author of a number of articles which brought OFDM-SPM into the telecommunication systems literature. The course will introduce OFDM-SPM, explain why it is needed, clearly describe the working concept, go over the design specifics in terms of transmission and reception (modulation and demodulation) in detail, showcase the gains which OFDM-SPM achieves over its counterparts and conventional OFDM modulation, present the simulation results of this scheme and translate them to performance measures, and last but not least, provide the viewer with ideas about how OFDM-SPM can be improved. What...
